What makes BJ Take Lighting unique?

We manufacture high-quality lighting products in Canada using premium electrical components and locally sourced materials. Our Ontario-made steel is manufactured using one of the cleanest electrical grids in the world and with the most advanced EAF furnace technology available today. Furthermore, our steel is shipped less than 60km to reach our factory, resulting in extremely low carbon emissions. Once in our factory, the steel is cut and fabricated into its finished format using highly efficient fibre laser punch technology and brake presses that are designed to minimize waste and increase precision. From there, our in-house powder coating line applies our locally sourced paint products to create a beautiful and highly durable finish. In-house powder coating also allows us to offer custom colours to match any requirements you may have. Long-term operational expenses of lighting systems are often overlooked or not accounted for precisely. LED provides superior longevity, instant on performance, and more reliable dimming, especially in cold environments. The instant on and exceptional dimming performance of LED technology dramatically increases the energy savings opportunities available from control measures such as occupancy detection, daylight harvesting, high-end trim, and intelligent scheduling. What is 'TAA Compliant' and why is it important?

TAA is an acronym for 'Trade Agreements Act'. TAA compliance is required by certain government bodies to ensure that products they are procuring have been 'substantially transformed' in a signatory country designated by the TAA. The intention of TAA is to encourage manufacturing in countries that are not hostile and enforce workplace safety and employment standards that are inline with North American values. Our LED luminaires (light fixtures) are TAA compliant because our design work, manufacturing, painting, and assembly all take place in Canada with skilled Canadian labour. We also make every effort possible to procure raw materials and electrical components locally, or from other TAA countries. By being TAA compliant, electrical contractors can bid on and win government contracts, which can be a significant source of revenue. TAA compliance also ensures that more money is spent in our local economies which helps to improve the living standards of our fellow citizens. How can I return/replace defective or damaged goods?

We make every effort possible to inspect and test every single light fixture before it is packaged and shipped to our customers. Unfortunately, no amount of care and precision will eliminate all problems from occurring. Our goal is to make it quick and easy to rectify these problems when they do occur.
