BJ Take Lighting was founded in 1995 by Ed and Mary-Ann Buma. Our near 30-year journey started with humble beginnings, but our unwavering commitment to quality and customer service has helped us grow to become an industry leading manufacturer of high-performance luminaires. Located southwest of the Greater Toronto region, Dunnville Ontario is home to BJ Take Lighting's innovative manufacturing facility. We are proud employers of a dynamic and growing team of Canadians that are committed to building fantastic products.

What's in the Name? A Family Legacy

As a devoted father and family man, founder Edward Buma chose the name BJ Take Lighting as an acronym which uses the initials of the family surname (Buma), his son's name (Joshua), and his four daughter's names from eldest to youngest (Tamara, Amanda, Katrina, and Elysha). Strong family values and integrity influence everything we do to support our customers.
